@MTMomK In most cases yes you would lose your deposit if you decide to attend the alternate school. That is why they recommend not putting a deposit down until the May 1 as some waitlist movement happens at the end of April. There are some schools that will refund your deposit if you decide not to attend, but I don’t think it is many.
Any one have any information or advice on University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point waitlist?? I read in another thread somewhere that someone who was waitlisted received an email that a slot had opened up and the first person to respond back would get it. I really hope that isn’t how it really works… seems unprofessional…
Hoping someone can help. Daughter just offered a spot a CCU- but already committed to another program. Any positive/negatives anyone can share about CCU? thanks.
My daughter got an offer from them this week as well. This year certainly was a strange year (both for the schools and the students). Is your daughter happy with the program that she’s already committed to? For my daughter, if the offer had come a month ago, she might have been more interested, but now she’s all in on the program she committed to - has a roommate, wearing their swag - that although the offer was flattering, she isn’t wavering in her decision. Wish I knew more about the program for you. Hopefully someone who knows a little more can chime in to help with her decision.
