Is it worth it to get 14k or 18k Gold instead of 10k?
Also, antique vs natural finish? I’m a guy and leaning more toward natural, but some people say it’s too flashy/blingey for a guy.
Get what you like if you can afford it.
A high school class ring may not be all that important after graduation. It is a tangible reminder of your time in that school. You may not even wear it that often after the few months after graduation. So Choose what you like and pay for easily.
Given that this is the college life section I assume OP is asking about a college class ring…
I don’t see a need to get one quite honestly .
I’d say NCAA championship ring would be more meaningful. 
If I were a ring maker, I’d love to sell 1.8 million UG rings and 800K master rings per year.
I wore mine for several years and still would if putting on tight latex gloves weren’t a regular part of my day.
An 18 ct ring would be soft and any design would wear off more quickly if you are going to wear it daily. I have my grandmother’s 18k wedding band, and it is worn in several places. I don’t think it is worth it to get 14k, but if you like it more then get it.
