I'm going to be a Chem major and going into pre-med. I'm not sure why the best classes to take are for my first year. Any ideas? Really confused . I was thinking about taking these classes both semesters
Chem w lab
Cal 2
Italian level Beg level (took 4 years but I really suck at it, even though I got an A in AP)
Bio w Lab
Math level 1 or 2
English
I have to also take a pe swimming class

Is this too much should I drop a class or fix it? Help

Take only 4 classes first semester and of those no more than 2 lab classes. Once you see how you do, then you can add a class the next semester.

Typical freshman pre med schedule each semester: bio w/lab, gen chem w/ lab, math (calc or stats), GE elective*/freshman comp.

*Consider taking sociology or psych since you’ll need both for the MCAT.

How many credits is PE? If it’s a 1 credit class, take it whenever. If it’s more than 1 credit, use it to replace a elective.

Be cautious with beginning level language classes–they take up much more time than you expect. (Mandatory language lab)

Get thru the basic classes first, then worry about adding A&P.

I agree labs take up a lot of time. I wouldn’t take more than 1-2 at any time if you can.
You really want to make sure you don’t overload your schedule at any point.
