Classes

So at orientation I picked my classes but then later I realized that I really don't want to take any of the classes I have. (I had really bad class options) And I want to drop and add new classes. When and how would be the best time to change my classes?

It’s going to be a huge pain in the ass to change all of your classes but it is not completely impossible. Registration reopens from September 7th-14th.

Then, when students don’t pay their Fall quarter tuition/fees by September 14th, they could get dropped from all of their classes. Registration then opens from September 18th-October 12th.

People change their classes a lot during the first two weeks of school. :)

Thanks! Why is it a huge bother to change your classes though? And when do you recommend changing classes the first two weeks of school or September 7-14?

It’s just really annoying because classes.ucr.edu doesn’t automatically reflect which classes are open or closed. It takes a few minutes, so sometimes you think you got that last open seat until you try to register on growl. Or you realize that one class conflicts with another class. Or growl is down because everyone else is trying to register. Registration can be stressful at times, lol.

Since you can change your classes during either time period, just check the classes site a lot. Whenever you see one you want, try and register. Good luck!

Thanks but just because class enrolling started again doesn’t mean that all the classes will have room again right? Because I want to take intro to dance but it is closed…

are you able to log in to growl to add courses???

Yes is it not working for you? Just the part when I add course the page loads very slowly

well it is but when i want to add the course, (which on classes.ucr.edu says it’s open) it tells me that there’s an error because the class is supposedly closed!! ughhh i just have two classes rightnow!! i’m freaking out!!

That really does means the class is closed because there are no seats left. Just check that class daily to see if it says it is open or not. That’s what I did and there were few open sets. There are few people who are dropping their classes and you have to check when they are open or not. On Growl it will tell you the list of classes and if they are open or not.

Also does anyone know and easy prerequisite classes? And I don’t need any from fin art

well now i’m at a worst scenario! i am only enrolled in ONE course and waitlisted for two others! all of this as an outcome has created a horrible unbalance on my financial aid!! (they are asking for $6k by sept. 14!!! oh jesus -__________-
