Classic Civ vs. Great Books?

Hey everyone,
So I know that amongst the Honors kids the decision between great books and classic civ is an annual dilemma and I was wondering if any current or former students could give any input. Which class is more work? What are the different focuses? I know everyone complains about Great Books so should i just take classic civ?

I’m taking great books in the fall. I believe both to have about the same amount of reading. Classic civ is more history-orientated with composition integration and great books is more literature and composition. Great books could be related to AP English and it also gives you the humanities distribution whereas classic civ does not.
