Thanks so much and congratulations to both of your daughters! So exciting!!!
Hey everyone! I am new to the thread, and I am applied as a Clemson priority admissions contestant. Currently, Clemson is very high up on my list. I was deferred ED from U of Richmond. I am the president of my school, test optional, NHS, varsity athlete, tutor, and a bunch more school related volunteer work. I am out of state. I applied on 10/6 but did not chose if I wanted to be test optional or not until 11/9. I did not apply for any financial aid.
When do you think I will receive a decision? I am applied as a Computer Science major, and backup as an English major.
That would depend on your stats (gpa, wgpa, class rank and test scores if available). A very small percentage of students hear early; however, the vast majority of applicants will hear in mid February.
Hello! I’m also new to this thread, and I applied to Clemson at the end of August. Besides from being deferred from my ED school back in October (not sure I will get in RD), Clemson is my top choice. My grades freshman and sophomore year were not the best, but junior and senior year I have ~ UW 3.89/W 4.06 (strong upward trend). I applied test optional. 4 year varsity athlete, summer internship at a well known company, tutor, many clubs, lots of volunteer work, summer business program at a university. I didn’t apply for any financial aid. I’m OOS. I applied as a Marketing major, and sociology as backup. I really really hope I get in… I’m expecting a decision in February.
Anyone watch Safety yet?
Wow, it was a great family movie about Clemson.
I had read Clemson was proud of the movie and now I know why.
It was filmed mostly on campus and gives a very positive view of the Clemson Family. The movie definitely has kept the school high on my son’s list. If you are looking for a movie with a positive message about overcoming obstacles, or have any desire to go to the school, you need to watch this movie!
Everyone was pausing to see if we could find ourselves/our kids in the background. It’s not every day you get to be in a movie.
also did anyone else just recieve an “exclusive invitation” from the honors college to apply to the Lyceum Scholars Program??
@mop2138 Yes, my son said he got an email
@mop2138 I got the email as well
@mop2138 my son did too.
I applied on 11/22 but my SAT came in on 12/02, it says Awaiting Decision anyone have any idea on when I might hear back? Do they release in batches or is the next wave mid Feb?
My daughter just got email tonight at 7:30pm with Status update and she was accepted with a scholarship!! So excited! Was not expecting that today.
Wow can you share her stats
My daughter applied 10/29, OOS and accepted into Health Science- Preprofessional health studies major. GPA 4.5 weighted, submitted 31 ACT. Lots of both AP and IB classes. Major ECs include 11 years competitive dancer, 3 years student athletic trainer at her high school and President/founder of charitable organization. She did submit her essay from common app and wrote a personal statement. Great recs from 2 teachers and head athletic trainer at her school. Wishing good luck to everyone! Go Tigers!
Did she watch the movie yet? I can only imagine, as an athletic trainer, she would love it.
Yes, we both did and loved it!. It was such a feel good movie and showed her how amazing the Clemson family is. Go Tigers on Saturday!!
I got in yesterday for political science with an academic scholarship! Go Tigers!
Can everyone list their stats when they get in and if they went in Test optional or not. Would be so helpful to those of us waiting!
