Hello everyone, I am in the process of filling out a streamlined application to Allegheny College right now and I have a question about my class type ie Honors, AP, IB, Dual/Concurrent Credit.

I am taking a class called College Sociology at my high school where you can take the CLEP exam at the end of the year. I was just wondering if I should check anything (Honors, AP, IB, Dual/Concurrent Credit) as the class type.
Any feedback is appreciated!

Ask your guidance counselor if this is considered to be an Honors class. If it isn’t, you don’t need to check anything for it.

Anyone can take a CLEP exam. Most people who do prepare for them do that on their own. It is nice that your teacher has let you know that you will probably be able to do well on the CLEP after completing this course If the college or university you end up attending accepts CLEP credits, you can save yourself some money. Most high schools don’t specifically tell students about the CLEP exams.
