<p>Recently I've been looking into clinical pharmacy and I wasn't exactly sure what types of clinical pharmacy there are and what tasks they handle. Also, how does clinical pharmacy differ from retail pharmacy? Any help would be appreciated!</p>
<p>The way I understood it at a college visit presentation, is that clinical pharmacists work with doctors and nurses as a team, to improve overall health of patient. My daughter wants to work with people in healthcare, but not be a nurse or doctor so she is really interested in clinical pharmacy.
I believe she will have to add 1-2 years of residency after her pharmd for that.</p>
<p>If you want to go right into the workforce as retail pharmacist that shouldn’t be necessary.</p>
