CMU or NU for Material Science and Engineering?g

<p>Just gonna chime in and say that Northwestern claiming to have the first MSE department is a bit misleading since it’s “only” 50+ years old while a good chunk of schools have had metallurgy (the department most commonly turned into MSE) since the turn of the 20th century. It was actually CMU’s (then Carnegie Institute of Technology) first department. ;)</p>
