Could this get more ironic?

@nwngeek212 they said that on average they get like 150 kids on the priority waitlist so yeah. I don’t think if this year is an exception or anything because they haven’t really released that info. Anyways, high hopes or not it isn’t in your hands. Just wait till they make the calls and hopefully you make it to the school you chose. Good luck.

150 kids sounds good to me. Divided by four which is the number of departments in MCS and you get yourself, a chance! Let’s just hope that there are spots in every department.

hey guys, yes, I am on PWL for MCS and I did get the email, and I am very much looking forward to getting a phone call tomorrow.
However, I thought that the WL for CMU is a whole lot higher than an average of 150?

I think the regular waitlist is usually quite long (a few thousands, although i’m not certain) but the PWL is usually a few hundred students.

yeah I hope MCS has a good number of open spots…I had to call them about the email and they copy pasted my email address wrong when sending it so they resent it so I can confirm that I wanted to stay on the PWL lol.

I wonder if HSS has any spots open this year? Anyways, hope I (and everyone waiting for a spot) get some good news tomorrow! All we can do now is wait…

I am super excited yet nervous… Will they call and email us? I don’t want to miss the phone call lol, and from what I read above, are there 150 PWL’ed students in each school… Or 150 in TOTAL? Can’t tell

The email the guy sent me said they have a total of 150 kids on the PWL ON AVERAGE; he didn’t say how much for this year. They did say they are able to move on to regular so i’m guessing there are a good # of spots.

Hopefully this means they have enough spots to accept everyone on the PWL

Just out of curiosity you mind copying that email just for reassurance gibsonlespaul?

the one where he talked about the average PWL size in the past years was sent to my dad as he was the one who asked it so I can’t get that right now unfortunately…the one about moving to regular waitlist was already posted on this thread before by ampoboe

Does anyone know why the deadline for saying if you want to stay on the pwl is 5pm? Does that mean they make decisons after 5pm or that they already made them…

They probably made the decisions already and are waiting to see which students are still interested. Or if you like to dream big (like me) you start saying to yourself that they are planning to admit everyone from the PWL. That’s why they want to know if students from this list are still interested (which would explain the email) in case there are spots left for students in the regular waitlist. lol

Good luck guys.

Good luck to you too gibsonlespaul and everyone.
May the force be with you!

P.S: it’s starting to feel like New Year’s Eve (I’m counting minutes). Let’s just hope it’s going to feel also like Christmas for everyone in the next few hours, too.

Less than 10 minutes remaining!!!

Did anyone get a call yet

Not yet. Still waiting for mine… Best of luck to everyone.

no one got a call? damnnn

i got the call and looks like not everyone will make it out of the priority waitlist…
