If you got into both, which would you got to? Include place, academics, teachers, people etc.

It would be between cornell and Caltech i think. Cornell if you want a bigger college with a great engineering program, Caltech if you want a very, very intense engineering liberal arts school (small).

cornell. in my opinion going to a tech school isnt the same as going to the typical undergraduate program, where there are tons of people studying a vast array of subjects. did you get into all of these, or is this just a what if situation, because this isnt really the time of college admissions, and if you did get in, its a little late to still be deciding haha

That's interesting that you chose those 3 schools because I also have those schools on my list. Personally, I would go to Cornell because I think that college life would be more fun, and you would meet people studying everything. I think Caltech has a better reputation with its professors, but you would still be getting a great education at Cornell.

That's pretty much my thought process if I had to choose next year. But another thing about Caltech is that the people aren't the most typical people you would meet (at least that's how I felt when I visited), so you would have to know if you liked that kind of community of people.

The undergraduate experience would be the best at Cornell, I would guess. Caltech would certainly be more intense, but Cornell's Eng is great as well.

Many years ago I chose Cornell over Caltech and I don't regret it. You would receive a more rigorous education at Caltech, but there really is no balance in life there. It's hard to explain if you haven't visited, but the best way to describe it is the "nerd" stereotype fits it too well.

Cornell b/c math is for NERDS

haha! lol. all of you left out CMU. Anyway, I did have trouble choosing between cornell and caltech. I agree tech has better engineering program, but Cornell is just a bit less.

lol shizz and juxtposn. i tried getting around using the word "nerd"

i had to choose between cmu and cornell. Both have good engineering programs, but I liked cornell's location better and what it could offer me outside of academics. Also I liked the student body--it's more balanced.

caltech is more intense. both cal/cornell > cmu in terms of engineering i believe.
