I'm currently going into my 3rd year, and I have a really great co-op offer for this coming winter (until the summer), which I'd like to do. U of R has an "industry practicum" program for certain majors (mine is CS), so I think I would be fine with doing that. However, I remember hearing that U of R requires you to take 8 semesters of classes to graduate, so graduating in 4 years would mean taking 7 semesters of classes and 1 co-op semester. Am I required to take an additional semester of classes in this situation? I will already have taken 129 credits by the time I'm finished with the 7th semester, which is more than a standard 8-semester sequence.

This is something to ask your advisor, particularly the one in your major.
