I know a lot of people use Common App. How about Coalition? Is Coalition reliable? Some of the colleges do not use Common App. But the following two items I found in Coalition got me confused. If anybody has experience and could give some advise, I would really appreciate it!
- When I click on a university to start the application, this note pops up: "xxx university will require you to complete the following Profile sections before submitting your application. Any changes you make to these sections will be shared with xxx university each time you enter the application."
What does “each time you ENTER the application” mean? Does it mean each time I continue working on the application to this university? And also, does this mean the university gets my profile information even before I submit my application? If so, why does Coalition allow that? Shouldn’t the “submit” button be the time when the student is ready to share the information?
- In the article about how to cancel the application, it says "Some colleges choose to download data batches of applications in progress. If the college has already downloaded your in-progress application, note that they still have any information you entered before cancelling the application."
So does this mean that colleges get my information before I submit the application? Will I be informed when that happens?
Sent an email to Coalition a week ago but didn’t get any response.
Any suggestion is appreciated!
