I’ve been accepted to UCSD cognitive science major for transfer admission. I am interested in either the Design & Interaction or Machine Learning & Neural Computation tracks. I’ve heard that you pretty much have to attend grad school if you want to pursue ML, but is that the case for HCI (UI/UX)? I’m personally interested in both ML and HCI, and wouldn’t mind selecting either track. Does anyone with experience in either have any comments or opinions to share?
Also, I am planning on potentially minoring in computer science along with the cogsci degree. What the advantages to having a compsci minor on top of the cogsci degree? Does it help when looking for internships/jobs?
Thanks!
