Both are highly rated LACs in cold climates. What do people think? Is it harder getting a job out of Carleton?
It probably depends on where you want to work. In Boston or New York, Colby is likely the better bet. In Minneapolis or Chicago, I would think Carleton has the edge. But that’s jus speculation on my part.
Not certain about getting a job, but if one was a STEM major Carleton is one of the top schools in the country - that said the student has to also like where they live, so my STEM DD chose Hamilton, which also has a great STEM program, over Carleton because she wasn’t up for the distance from home and over other NE LAC’s that she was admitted to because she felt it was the strongest for STEM, including Colby.
