can someone else try the checklist :-?
@vlindo @zimzamzoom Those are great lists!!
I applied to: Amherst, Dickinson EA (acc.), Dartmouth, Georgetown (deffered EA), Gettysburg, Saint Vincent (safety, acc), Marist (safety, acc), Princeton (one of my top choices), Haverford (other top choice), Vassar, Williams, Colgate, Union, and Swarthmore.
@veronicali Congrats on those acceptances–and yeah, finances can be a bummer. But Colgate would be a great choice, too!
Tried the checklist-same result. Tried it without being logged in to the applicant portal, and had to enter login info to get to the checklist. I think the only meaningful way to know is if a denied applicant entered login data and tried to get to the checklist. We have one person on this thread who tried and could not access-not sure that is a sufficient data set. We should all know for sure tomorrow…
I tried the checklist, us resident have not received any mail and it also pops up with my name
I tried the checklist and it works for me too! So unless all of us got in… Then this doesn’t mean anything
i did that checklist thing and it worked! does it mean anything though?
and @yash22 anything yet? please tell me when you receive your mail? and have u been accepted anywhere?
the checklist works for me too. I browsed around the website too and there seemed to be lots of information about move in day, orientation activities, stuff like that. does everyone else have this? I don’t want to get my hopes up because that’s totally something I’d do
I feel like it’s too good to be true for all of us
yeah its weird that they do that though, give all that information to people who may or may not have been admitted. I’m getting more stressed because of it I think
I’m afraid I’ve already gotten my hopes up somewhat. I just find it so odd that they would have that available for even those who aren’t admitted. If they were going to do it for everyone, why have us log in to see it?
Oh well who knows. Hopefully the mail will come tomorrow!
if it doesn’t come tomorrow, I may pass out from the anxiety
my checklist thing is also personalized and stuff. does that me i got in?
guys i seriously doubt that the check list means anything - we’re probably better off just waiting a little more than getting our hopes up from something that is very unclear. Not trying to put down anyone, but I know I don’t wanna have my hopes up and then be massively disappointed.
I agree with @weej16 we’re all already stressed enough, I don’t want to add to anyone’s anxiousness! I’m sure it’ll all work out for each and everyone of us the way it’s supposed to
So now I cannot access my portal because I’m not an “active student/faculty/staff” but it says that incoming students will have access soon.
When I try to access the checklist, I get a redirect loop b/c “too many redirects” (I’m in chrome, so ffox might be different). Is this the same for everyone else?
@nepalikta ta i’ll tell if receive anything… i’ve seen 1 reject and 2 waitlists…no acceptance anywhere yet…
@RavensNH Just tried it. I get the same exact thing.
ugh… looks like they’re making us wait on the mail, then.
@yash22 which school r u from though?
I can still access the student checklist but the portal now says: Thank you for your application to Colgate University. A list of required materials for Regular Decision and Early Decision can be found on our website. It is your responsibility to verify that Colgate has received all required application materials. All required items must be submitted by the application deadline. Applications that remain incomplete will be at a distinct disadvantage and will normally be denied.
(This is different from the previous message that said decisions will be released within the next week)
Is this a bad sign?
