Is Colgate University easier for Asian Americans and international students to get into?
Not to be racist or anything, but it seems as if Colgate really wants a diverse community, and naturally I made an assumption that Colgate is a tiny bit easier for Asians to get into.
Is this kinda true?

According to its [common data set](https://cms.colgate.edu/portaldata/imagegallerywww/b15e0733-2014-4151-8462-1aad19a3e294/ImageGallery/Common%20Data%20Set%202010-11.pdf), Colgate is only about 3% Asian American. Which may mean that they may actually want more, as opposed to fewer like probably most other schools.

Still, “diversity” is not just race or ethnicity. If there are many Asian American applicants from urban or suburban areas around San Francisco, Los Angeles, or New York whose primary extracurricular activity is piano or violin applying with intent to major in biology for pre-medical purposes, then the Asian American applicant from Boise who plays football and drums and wants to double major in English and pure math may get a more favorable look from the admissions committee.

jamjk, suggest you post this question in the colgate university thread in the colleges section. more people will be able to answer you there.
