Much like with quarks, Hamilton’s campus neighborhoods come in different flavors (dark, light, grey – seriously). By choosing where to eat and live, you will be able to influence your social connections in a way not directly comparable to other small colleges. If this variety resonates with you, Hamilton’s most definable distinguishing aspect may be spatial.
In a recent interview, a new Hamilton professor described his impressions in relation to his experiences at Colgate:

I think, too, that gender ratio can be an important consideration for some students, and Hamilton comes close to even (51/49) in its most recent year:

If you’d like a school with some of the elements of both Vassar and Colgate, Hamilton would be a great choice.
Of Colgate and Hamilton, which school would you say has produced the most prominent NHL player?
@merc81. I would say mike milbury has the most impact in hockey but Guy Hebert was a really good netkeeper and Mike Richter was good player too?
Jerry Rice went to Mississippi Valley State. Lol.
My point was just a slight jest. But the energy around hockey is a different level at Colgate imho.
@privatebanker: Just to be clear, I asked out of genuine interest in your opinion. Thanks!
@merc81 lol. My best friend played quarterback at Hamilton. He set the all time getting sacked record. But man does he love that school!
