Colgate Vs. Brandeis

I'm having a hard time picking.

Colgate:
Pros: Small, beautiful campus, more opportunities for internships etc, name recognition?
Cons: Middle of nowhere, very frat oriented nightlife

Brandeis:
Pros: Small university, more laidback nightlife, great location near Boston,
Cons: Jewish stereotype, less attention for undergraduates

I'm going to Brandeis next year. If you aren't Jewish, I wouldn't worry about the Jewish stereotype at all.

If you are Jewish, like me, I wouldn't worry about it all. Brandeis has high Jewish population, but its not all Jewish. And what exactly are you worried about? That people will think you're Jewish?

Colgate is by far older than Brandeis and has gained more prestige that way, but I'd say they're both equal about on name recognition.

Brandeis is not typically beautiful, like at all, but there's alot of lovely forestry and topography around the campus, which I think makes it lovely. There are just like...green buildings. Boston's a huge plus too. And I never really thought of Brandeis being graduate-orientated; its big grad school (Heller) does not even have an equivalent undergrad program anyway. Classes are still definitely small and profs are easily accessed.

And I wouldn't worry about "the Jewish thing" either way.

(I'm too going to Deis, so I'm biased).

Brandeis is undergrad focused as well. It's a fairly small university.
It's simple, if you want a big city nearby, go to Brandeis.
