College Acceptances: celebrate here!

My D is in at William & Mary !!!!!!!

celebrian & merblajam - wow, that's great! Good for both of you. You must be so happy and excited !

Wm and Mary is a wonderful college! And celebrian has a lot to consider, too!

S just got first acceptance to St. Lawrence with merit scholarship.

Hi my son was accepted to:
Michigan, Stonehill, Bentley, Indiana Bloomington $$,USF and waiting on about five more! Good luck to everyone.

Cami - UVa!!! Just delighted for your son! :)

Cami - congrats! Looking at your list of schools, how on earth are you going to decide between them???

Andi--Many, many congratulations to your son and your entire family!! I made a special trip back to CC in the hopes that I would learn where andison would be next fall. MIT...WOW!!! I am absolutely thrilled for your obviously very special son. Andi, you were so kind to share his experience with us--you've no doubt helped many other students and their families. Best wishes to you--and enjoy that champagne!!

Fortunately, that particular headache is reserved exclusively for my son! :p

Thanks much, hayden and twinmom. I am also happy to see the other good news, especially merblajam D's acceptance at William and Mary.

Hi all, newbie here.

S in at WUSTL (Olin), University of Richmond (no money), and University of Rochester (some money but not enough to go there, and he's a double legacy). Waiting to hear from Duke, UVA, George Washington, Wake Forest, and Emory.

soproud,

Welcome aboard

Some has some really great choices under his belt. Congrats to all.

Condor30 - congrats on WUSTL and Case! Just saw the adds.

My D has just been accepted at MIT.

There is a lot of change coming up since we live - as my name would suggest - in Europe. Unfortunately her boyfriend didn't make it.

We wait for four other decisions. Maybe there will be a chance for both of them.

Anna

Congrats Anna!

I read this thread because I love all the excited feelings, and know we will never have the "jump up and down and scream" scene in my house. Daughter applied to what she thought were three reaches and two safeties, and ended out with five rejection letters. She was eventually accepted at a lower-level school where she is very happy. But at the time, the acceptance was bittersweet.

Son will probably be accepted to the only college he wants to go to, a solid match/very slight reach. When he is accepted, he'll give me the thumbs up and say "cool".

So thank you for letting me share in this excitement, even if it is with strangers thru cyber-space!

Secondly, for all the newbies who don't understand all the excitement around Andi's announcement, could someone post the link her story? And bump it up every fall?? And maybe make my son read it?

My son just got into Northeastern University! I am not adding it to the master list, for fear of deleting something. It is so long now, with so many wonderful admissions!!!!

We split the master list of acceptances into two lists alphabetically, so I'll add it for you, northeastmom. Congrats to your son!!!

quiltguru, Thank you!

alumother,
thanks. still waiting to hear on a couple more. some tough decisions ahead of her.

I haven't posted a lot but have really appreciated all the info on these boards. S already was in at UIUC Eng, got WUSTL SEAS last week, and today got his very very first choice (well, first after Stanford rejected SCEA) - SCS at CMU. It is too thrilling for words and may even inspire him to concentrate on his last two months of school.
