thanks, fireflyscout - congratulations to you and your daughter as well. It was your post in the Hamilton forum that got me to tell my son to check - needless to say he is elated!

Just saw that you added your daughter's acceptance to Carleton! Congratulations - it certainly has been a busy day for you! Great news all the way around!

fireflyscout: Congrats to your D on her Carleton acceptance! If you have any questions about Carleton, PM me. My D is a soph there and loves it!

Thanks everyone! It was quite a day yesterday. LOL about the silk underwear: the only time we visited Carleton was on Memorial Day weekend, so I think D has a pretty skewed idea of the weather! Same goes for Hamilton - we toured in the summer. D just doesn't have much cold weather experience.

I have never been so happy to be so confused in all of my life. Got a chance to look through the multiple editions of the master list of acceptances and I see so many wonderful acceptances.

Just want everyone to keep in mind that you and your kids have done an amazing job and it makes me happy to know that they are choosing between some wonderful places and no matter what the next week of results bring that we are just sooo proud of them.

Ohmigoodness. I am just amazed at our kids' list of acceptances...so long it had to be split in two to fit on the thread. What a testimony to the talent and tenacity of these wonderful kids and you parents.

And I couldn't help but notice on the acceptance thread, Curmudge, that your D is 10 for 10!!! Congratulations to her and to you! It will be so exciting see which she chooses and why!

northfork - congratulations! Terrific schools. You'd have a really tough time, except I see the Swarthmore is ED. Enjoy.

Curm - WOW. Your D is "batting" 1.00. What's the basketball equivalent? Now you've got 30 days to decide. Hhhmmm. I can't wait to hear the outcome. What's your personal favorite?

andi, I just crawled out from under my rock and saw that your son was accepted to MIT (among others). Congratulations to you and him! What a wonderful future that boy has ahead of him.

What was his strategy in his applications? Did he reveal last year's disappointments or did he just proceed as a typical kid on a gap year? Maybe that's a topic for a separate thread, but I'm sure others who decide to regroup and retry would like to know how best to describe (or not describe) their situation to admissions.

I just love all these acceptances. There are going to be some happy decision making discussions around here next month. :)

Been awhile since I've hit the congrats. General congrats to all - the new Gator/grad Gator should be watching the FF!

Andison - it keeps getting better.

Curmudgeon - I knew she would be great!

Celebrian, you have been such a sweet, strong voice - congratulations.

To Firefly and Curmudgeon - DD's roommate's siblings are at Hamilton, and seem very happy - but they don't have our South/Southwest thin blood ;).
