@nepaliketo: I concur completely, even though I don’t know who exactly you are referring to (maybe a vague idea from CC). Ultimately, it’s the quality of one’s character that determines personal success, and not the pedigree of one’s college, so I don’t really give a flying f*** about people who think no end of themselves and can’t be decent human beings.

Students who got in Jacobs what does your financial aid package consist of??

I have not received mine as a missing documents was sent just couple of days ago. It will take few weeks more I guess.
How is your aid package?

My aid package sucks!!! 7.5K euros loan + 7 K expected family contribution!!!
I talked to a friend in Jacobs and he said that the university is in major financial crisis!!!
Though they say that they do not negotiate aid I will try to explain/request and hopefully get a better aid!!!

@batuli
Did you get your financial aid package?

where did you decide to enroll anyway?

yes…5K EFC+7.5k loan per year… most probably UNO

Hi guys!! I am new here, could you please help me with a problem? I got accepted into few colleges (st. louis, nyit, univ. of rochester, texas weselyan, keuka, hofstra) but the money I have to pay from the total cost of attendance amounts to $20-26000 in most of these colleges. Is this amount anywhere near the normal or average amount a Nepali student pay to attend these colleges? I have pretty decent academics and test score marks but since I don’t have anyone to compare to I am completely oblivious about it. Simply put,is it worth it?

Acceptance list looks great!

@nepalistewie Paying $20-26k / year for a normal Nepali student is way too much!! Try to get a good scholarship mate…

Hello guys !!!
What is the procedure to obtain a decent scholarship in the mentioned universities? Is a full ride scholarship impossible for us? I had been fed up with an concept that +2 students find uneasy to secure good universities and decent scholarships due to low status of Nepalese education system ( a concept that A level is made for achieving high in abroad studies rather than +2) Is it true??
a full ride is not impossible and while a levels will grant you an advantage, it is not impossible for +2 students either.
