<p>Both my daughters bought T-shirts after the tour if they liked what they saw and heard. To me it became a tell that they would be applying there. </p>

<p>Both continued otowear some of the shirts later even though they got rejected or did not attend. The exceptions were that they didn’t wear shirts from schools that were arch-rivals to the schools they did attend.</p>

<p>I bought a Stanford Hoodie and stanford t-shirts for every single one of my close friends/immediate family.</p>

<p>i have never heard of this before-actually in my area, like another poster, people like to buy them from all the schools they apply to so they can wear the one they ultimately go to.</p>
