I am an international student currently studying in state and preparing to enroll American college. What kind of international applicants do they look for the most??? Do they look at the potential? Or how much will this student bring honor to the school in the future? I am not sure but I heard they look for international applicants who’s just interested in the education and, in the future, return to his or her country rather than working in America. Is this true??? If not, is there particular things that colleges ask from international applicants?
(I am talking about prestige schools)
Thank you
Well everything you mentioned, plus MONEY.
International students have less odds in both admission and scholarship in general, so its better if you can pay the full price.
Also, it’s true that you have to assume you are going back to your home country because it’s getting increasingly difficult to get jobs as foreigners.
Rather than asking what they want, why don’t you tell us what you have done so far - any test score? Home country record ? athletic prowess?
Key: how much can your parents afford per year ?
