College Admissions Forum being cluttered

I’ve noticed that the College Admissions main forum is very cluttered with locked and moved topics. On any given page, more than half of the threads are locked or moved. On the current page 2, 18/20 of the threads are not active threads. This means I have to page through many, many pages to see new posts.

Is there anyway to just delete the post if it has been moved or locked? Most of these locked threads are people who have not read the rules and are posting in the wrong forum, and frankly, it’s making those of us who do follow the rules have to go through so much more work to browse and contribute.

Thanks,

Thanks for your note, WU. We are considering posting a sticky that reminds members not to use the Admissions forum as a place to post chances threads. This will hopefully cut down on the frequency of such threads. In the past we had tried moving these threads, but it was happening so frequently that we couldn’t keep up and started closing them instead. Of course, moving them results in re-direct links that stay up for two weeks, so that would also lead to clutter.

We’re definitely looking at ways to make things easier to manage for our members. Thanks for the input!
