After pressing the “Submit” button for the Common Application for each school, it takes a while for the college to send the instruction for setting up the portal account with that college. It’s only afterward that one can submit the arts supplement through the portal link. My question is: for those who submit the Common Application on the last day before the deadline, how do you submit the arts supplement, which has the same deadline as the Common Application, when you don’t get the instruction for setting up the portal account a day or two after the deadline? I assume it’s okay to be a day or two past the deadline?
It depends school to school. Some use slideroom, which will be due at the same time. For schools where you submit through the portal, there’s usually an extended deadline for supplements (usually 2 weeks later). If you’re worried, you could just email the supplement to the school anyway. Usually though, it’s fine.
