My son has acceptances from several colleges and we are not down to deciding between Northeaster, Skidmore and Brandeis. My son is looking at a liberal arts-business curriculum.
Brandeis sounds promising - they have offered a "mid-year" admission stating Spring 2014. He has a number of options to pursue some liberal arts oriented courses in London, Florence and Washington DC. We are not at all sure what this mid-year option means and any insight/advice will be appreciated.

A typo error in the first sentence. I meant we are “now” down to deciding betweeen 3 colleges…

Here’s a link to a student-authored article on the Brandeis mid year experience:

Schools offer spring-start admission as a load-balancing method. Because some students attend for an odd number of semesters (e.g. one semester early or late graduation, or dropping out or transferring away after an odd number of semesters), the fall semester has a higher enrollment than the spring semester. Having some students start in the spring allows using otherwise wasted capacity available in the spring semester.

Thank you ! The link was useful and encouraging.

After much discussions, advice and thought, we have just paid our deposit for Skidmore. A relief !

Right On!
