@metsfanAJM I totally understand and respect that. At my school, Galloway Hall is the party dorm, but it’s got everything your dorm has, plus a bug infestation. I did not want to live there lol. The dorm I originally wanted (Graham-Hewlett) has suite-style living arrangements. Don’t turn up too much, bro.
@CE527M I want move-in to be here already. I deleted at least 300 FB friends this past week. More than eager to start anew and leave this life behind for good.
@LBad96 Yeah I feel you…I’m definitely not going to miss a lot of people. Seeing what some people post on social media reminds me of why I was so ready to graduate high school haha.
Work hard, party hard, yo B-). How’s the party scene at Mizzou?
Yep, I feel like it’s time to move on. I’ll miss some people, but I’m okay with not seeing the majority of the kids from high school anytime soon. I’m at the point where I couldn’t even imagine spending another day in class at my high school, but I’ll miss it.
@CE527M even worse, two of my rising senior friends (one of whom tends to be far harsher) routinely complain about what I like on Facebook. Just because they’re pics of models. They say that people would think I’m nasty…would they really? And if they did, why should I care? They complained about me posting WCWs on Instagram, which I eventually stopped BC I didn’t see a point in it. But regarding FB likes, I’ve said the SAME thing. NO. ONE. CARES. lol. It’s my FB, let me post what I want. So glad to be out of there already lol.
On the other end, I had absolutely nothing against 99% of the people I deleted. However, it was time to cut people because I never talked to them, had stopped talking to them, was never going to go to school with them, etc. A few actually beat me to the punch, one or two of which did surprise me a little. But I probably would have deleted them anyways. I did delete the overly harsh friend.
@metsfanAJM yes, exactly lol. Totally fine with the prospect of never talking to or seeing a lot of the kids from my HS ever again. I also lost a lot of Instagram followers because I was the first to unfollow in most cases. I figured that I was never going to see most of them again, so why continue to follow them? We rarely talked when I was in high school.
@metsfanAJM Mizzou’s pretty similar to Penn State, I’m guessing. Pretty big Greek Life scene, always something going on
@LBad96 I’m friends with a bunch of people who are basically right-wing rednecks who are always posting stuff like “The Confederate flag is heritage not hate” and “We seceded before and we’ll do it again!!!” I’d unfriend them but it’s mildly entertaining seeing what dumb things they come up with.
@CE527M lololol. I’d defriend anyone who fills my feed with that garbage, but I can see how it would be entertaining! =))
I have mostly UNCW followers on Twitter, but that’s because I got mine after graduation. I mostly ignore suggestions to follow people from my hometown, even if I liked the person.
One important note: contrary to the philosophy of my entire clean out, the first person to go was actually someone who I’ll be going to school with. I just really dislike her already lol.
My moving-in day is actually on my eighteenth birthday, but I don’t think classes start until after labor day. And there is even some more grey-area, because I think the first two weeks are shopping weeks, so perhaps, technically, even a little bit later(?)
Regardless, I’m super stoked.
