I’m conflicted between UCLA and Northeastern with only a few days left to decide. I like the UCLA campus much better but it’s across the country and I’ll be studying computational biology in the colleges of letters of arts and sciences. I’m worried about finding a job in the tech industry after UCLA since most people go to grad school or research. Northeastern I’ll be studying comp sci which provides more flexibility in what I want, but I don’t love the campus… I’m sure I’ll still like it though, it’s just close to home and feels like it holds nothing more for me to discover. Financially they are the same. Will UCLA’s prestige give me a large enough advantage for finding jobs to outweigh the co-ops at northeastern?
Any thoughts about academics, student life, and career placement would be deeply appreciated in the next few days!
