<p>I need some help--if I've only sent recommendations to colleges, does that start a file? I haven't sent any parts of my applications yet except for recommendations, and I just realized that I'll have no way of knowing whether they recieved my recommendations until I do so. How quickly do mailed applications arrive, and how quickly will I have an account set up? Also, can I fax recommendations before January 1st if it turns out they were lost in the mail?</p>
