College foreign language??

I'm going to be a Junior in High School, but my high school doesn't offer Spanish I for anyone other then the 9th grade, extreamly small school. So, my option is take it in college courses.

I took French I and got an 82 or 86 I believe.
French 2, I took and did terrible and got a 70.
So, I need a Spanish I or French III to meet the 3 years requirement (all don't have to be the same) I don't want to lower my GPA because it's already low enough, even though I'm doing way better at the small, private school I'm at. So what do I do!!!???

Have you spoken to teachers/counselors about taking Spanish? Maybe if you explain how you would much rather take Spanish (and give reasons other than French is lowering your GPA) they will reconsider.

I would caution against taking Spanish at a local college. Most college language classes, even if they are introductory, are extremely difficult and fast-paced (at last compared to what a high school is used to).

Maybe instead put aside some extra time each day to study, and get a friend or an older student to tutor you?
