<p>Hi all, I'm a college senior deciding whether I should join the national guard to become an officer after I graduate. I will be receiving a degree in Computer Engineering and already have a good job lined up for after I finish school, so I'm wondering if it's worth a six year commitment.</p>
<p>Can someone offer insight into how much of a plus it is to have military leadership experience? Is it worth the toll( in terms of training and deployments ) that it will take on my civilian career?</p>
<p>Note that the monetary benefits I will get from them will be minimal( no loans to pay off/no GI Bill or signup bonuses). Thanks</p>
