College graduation -- 'added touches' for your kids and their friends

If you’re looking for something easy-peasy, I ordered some mugs with pictures on them for a few of DS’s friends at graduation. I can’t say they were all of his friends, but a few that he was close to who I happened to have pictures of from freshman/sophomore year with my son. I think even these 20-something boys were a little touched.

Ink Garden is having a 2 for 1 sale on several items, including travel mugs and coffe cups. Use the code TWO

I have used them several times, and been very pleased.

Right after graduation ceremonies, we hosted a party at our home for D1 and her roommates and their families–we lived about 35 miles from her campus. We hired a local seafood place that does a clam back on wheels. It was a great party.

D2 went to college five hours from home. We were able to do a house swap with friends of friends who lived very close to D2’s campus. We did a reception for D2 and her friends and their families the night before graduation. We served cake and prosecco.

Thanks for the various ideas!

I planned to give small gifts to d’s graduating comrades, I found pretty “beaded” pens and purse compact mirrors at Charming Charlies, inexpensive but nice and practical…
