I have a college interview coming up, for one of my top choice schools. however, i did not go college visiting at all to any colleges. my parents felt that me accompanying my sister to her college visits (three years ago) was enough.

if my interviewer asks me if i've visited the campus is there a way i can say i haven't without bombing the interview?

yes. tell them you’ve been busy/it’s too far away/your parents didn’t have time off/ the truth lol. I had a great interview with a school I didn’t visit (although, considering it’s over a thousand miles away, I don’t think I was expected to)

If the school is only half an hour away, can’t you just say you didn’t formally visit because you pass by it almost everyday?

I didn’t visit most of my colleges for a variety of reason. The conversation never came up in any of my interviews, and when it did, I usually just answered it by saying “No, I never visited, but I’ve always wanted to though! I heard that XYZ College just recently…” or “I heard that there is this new dorm/library…” and usually the interview move on to other topics after that.
