Indiana is well above UConn because it has some very notable programs- Kelley, journalism and music. UConn is a solid state university, with nothing that really stands out.
Besides, you get away from nasty northeasterners such as omniscient. And, by the way, at IU they teach you to say, "WE in the northeast...."

Hello again, I am not trying to cause any type of problems, this is a forum not a battle ground. I looked into Uconn and I am sorry but I do not wish to attend that school but I thank you for your comments. Though it is not necessarily academics PRIMARILY, it is also the social aspect as well that I am looking for. Again I am not looking for Uconn. Anywhere else anyone.

UConn Rankings:

Top 50 Medical School
Top 50 Law School
Top 25 School of Education
Top 20 Pharmacy Program

Nah....you're right....nothing at UConn really stands out....

Indiana:

Law school: 36
Education: 17

I believe IU's Pharm school is at Purdue, but I could be wrong...

Omniscient1...I am applying to Uconn, but that is a school I already know about. I am looking for schools I DO NOT KNOW ABOUT. I did not know about IU until someone on the forum told me about it. Again I know what they have and what they do not have. I am looking for other schools that are similar to IU. Thank You.

No, it does not. UConn would kill to have a rep as good as Indiana's. It's not even close.

As i've said, Indiana is the next Wisconsin.

"As i've said, Indiana is the next Wisconsin." lol keep dreaming.... Indiana is the next University of West Virginia is more like it.

No one can be THAT much of a troll, can they?

EDIT: It IS West Virginia University btw...

lol troll?? wow you're a geek!

geek? hardly...

sure......

Considering my screename revolves around my favorite sports team and I'm looking to work for a pro sports team after college, I think you've got the wrong guy...

Ohhh! How silly of me! Why didn't I see that before?!.....haha
Anyone who uses the word troll to insult someone is a geek in my book....

Fellas, I honestly was hoping to get some positive feedback based on what I am looking for yet I have not recieved anything that I have asked for from either of you. Unless you have a different school to offer me besides the ones already mentioned, then that is not helping me necessarily. I appreciate your concerns but this is not the place to be arguing about that subject matter. Thank You. And please I am searching for more schools.

Sorry MoltenLava....here are some schools that I think are very similar to Indiana:

University of South Carolina
University of Alabama
Iowa State University
UMass
University of Kansas
University of Kentucky
Ohio University

Good luck!

Thanks a lot Omniscient1 that does help out A LOT. I still need some more though. Thanks. More Diverse schools are slightly in my favor.

None of those schools even remotely compares to Indiana in terms of reputation. I would not suggest to apply to those schools if they are looking for a school similar to Indiana in reputation especially for the business program, and admissions, which was what the criteria was.

UMass and Ohio have good business schools, but obviously not many schools come close to Kelley.
