I mentioned before that I visited UConn and applied to Indiana. I have no bias towards either.

oh stop it.

Excellent response!

same to you.

I'm surprised this post been locked yet. Seriously....

Ominiscient1 and loslobos71....This is a personal forum based question, if you want to argue about that subject then do it on aim or facebook or whatever you use, this is not only for me to use but also for other people to look on for research, other students seeking better colleges and universities. I politely ask you to not post one more argument or conflict on this particular questions. Thank You.

I've done nothing wrong. This dude just continues to bring up UConn...

I understand, I am not blaming anyone though I am reffering to you both only because I see that other people do not wish to be discussing the subject matter. I just want some info for what I am looking for. Thank You.

Molten...one school nobody has mentioned that I think you should consider is University of Missouri - Columbia (aka Mizzou). I'm not too sure how its business rep is, but it is very, very similar admissions wise to IU. And I mostly agree with the people who are saying Purdue, MSU, OSU, and CU Boulder. Minnesota wouldn't be bad to look at either.
But IU is def your best bet for Business. I'll be attending in the fall so if you have any more specific questions about applying to IU and similar schools feel free to contact me! The best advice I can give you for IU though is apply very very early because they tend to be more lenient while space is available.

Good luck!

Ok This thread caught my attention due to all this IU boosting.

I applied to indiana got in and lemme tell u its a great school. otherwise I would not have applied there or even considered it.

However I knew Wat Indiana was and what it wasnt.

Indiana was my safety school. I had a 3.3 and a 1700 on the SAT.
Wasnt surprised when I got in as they admit 80% of the applicants. Overall it isnt ranked that well, however I feel its underrated and it should go up, if they can get more selective (which I hear they just raised the bar on admissions starting in 2010).

However I did not apply to Kelley cause like many have noted it is really tough to get into and I would have ultimately been rejected....
Reason I did not pick IU in the end: lets say I dont make a 3.5 which is what is expected to transfer into Kelley, id be stuck in General Studies...
I decided on selecting schools I had gotten admission to their Biz school:
Which is where I arrive on schools I reccomend the OP:

Michigan State: got in with scholarship however its one of those programs where u have to reapply to continue once u hit junior year. I didnt want to risk that as I would hate to transfer schools.

Ohio State: Got in with scholarship. if u have an 1150 on the SAT ur admitted to the biz school.

Ohio University: Accepted with scholarship. School isnt really good overall and not very good in biz either. I knew that and thus didnt attend but still its very similar to IU in the social scene, admissions etc... But IU is WAAY better academically.

Purdue University: good school, easy admissions (mayby even easier than IU).

Loyola Chicago: Accepted but no scholarship. quite a surprise as it was my safety. But still a solid biz school in a great location (for internships).

American University: Accepted, no scholarships but wasnt expecting any.
From what I hear Kogod is great with internships... Didnt select it though because it wasnt my first choice.

University of Miami: This was my first choice school. Accepted but no scholarship (again wasnt really surprised as it was my reach with that 40% acc rate). It has a better overall rep but still a solid biz school.

Boston university: I didnt apply or consider it but I know several who got in with similar stats as me and a few with lower stats so I decided to add it to the list.

Conclusion: I added these because I got in with scholarships and I figured u, having higher stats or similar might make it. SOme are harder than IU (not Kelley though) while others are the same.
Few Schools can beat Kelley.. Kelley is one of the top biz schools in the country. IU admissions is different when not applying to Kelley. Its pretty easy. If u get into Kelley, go there... Otherwise, be careful caus eits not easy to transfer in. An admissions officer there told me the requirements and they are pretty selective even transferring from within. Kelley has managed to separate itself from IU quite a bit... Admissions is totally different to IU and rankings wise its totally different. IU in general is ranked in the 70's par par with UCOnn, Purdue, Georgia and other similar schools.

I hope I dont spark another Childish fight liek the earlier one between Lobos and Omniscient and moreover, I hope I helped u man! good Luck with everything!

IUPUI’s campus is awesome for a branch campus!!! IUPUI is really like it’s own university!! We have DIV 1 athletics too!!
