I need to complete my college list within the next few days. The college I am looking for needs to be a well reputed medium or large size college with good engineering courses. I am looking for flexibility in curriculum, option of switching majors to some other field if I need to, active campus life and a pretty looking college. I don't want a college with a cut throat academic environment. If the college allows management courses along with the engineering courses then that's a great plus.
So far, I have on my list Brown University, UC Berkeley, UVa, Umich, Upenn and tufts.

Are you going to be able to afford those OOS public schools?

Georgia Tech, the 4th ranked engineering school, known for its lack of “cutthroatiness” in comparison to the top 3. Just because it’s southern and not super selective doesn’t mean you should count it out!(:

Ya i can afford any school.
I’ll look up Georgia Tech. Thanks

I believe that Cornell has a program where engineering students can take a minor in its business school.

Lehigh gives the impression of being very entrepreneurial so might be a good fit.

Michigan has a program that combines business with Engineering.

I’m pretty sure that every E school allows you to switch majors, though some make you jump through more hoops.

You probably need a safety school or two – I can’t help there.

I think Northwestern does too (not positive there).

The University of Dayton has a wonderful engineering program. They also award a lot of financial aid. They are flexible with changing majors. There is also great activities, always stuff going on. I am an alum and felt my education was awesome. I have worked in my major since a week after graduation, and that was 23 years ago. My husband started in EE switched to computer EE and has been extremely successful in his career.

I second Lehigh…seems to fit your ctiteria…medium sized, beautiful campus and offers integrated programs in engineering/business and engineering/arts and sciences.

Take a look at:

[Lehigh University :: RCEAS: Integrated Business & Engineering Program](http://www3.lehigh.edu/engineering/academics/ibe2.asp)

and

[Lehigh University :: RCEAS: Integrated Degree in Engineering, Arts & Science (IDEAS)](http://www3.lehigh.edu/engineering/academics/ideas.asp)

Needless to say I agree with Dayton. They also have an excellent Entrepreneurship track in the business school.
