college major to complement my potential BS in dance

hey i have a question for everyone who can answer and give advice. im planning on attending minnesota state university next year, i already got accepted into the university. so then i had to start looking at majors and i found one that appealed to me. the bs in dance with an emphasis in private studio teaching. the private studio part means that one of the requirements is that i minor in marketing. but i want something that will complement or is enjoyable for me to major in along with dance. i am pre law so that being said i would prefer something in the social sciences or humanities but i am open to anything. i am not looking for validation as in i have no idea what my other major will be i just know i want another major. if i could please have some advice that would be really helpful. i am a guy by the way just so you dont assume that im a girl. thanks for your time and have a nice day.

Since you are interested in law school, I would suggest philosophy. It will improve your ability to think and reason.

Anything that encourages you to

-think logically and critically
-write a lot
-develop public speaking skills

is a good major for law school. You can major in literally anything, so it really doesn’t matter what you pick. So what are your interests? What kinds of things do you like?

Anthropology might be something you are potentially interested in; it’s the study of humans in general, but a huge subfield is cultural anthropology - the study of human culture. This may be particularly interesting to you as a dancer - because you could potentially study/take a lot of classes in the anthropology of the arts.

Philosophy is a good suggestion as it requires you to think logically and read and write a lot - and a lot of the reading and writing will be similar to what’s expected in law school. Political science is a popular pre-law major.

thanks for your advice i will keep that in mind. philosophy and anthropology are very good suggestions as i like questioning life and the meaning of things and my love of human culture and how that apply applies to different aspects of society. i am waiting to hear back from uw Milwaukee for an admission decision. so im kinda up in the air on which school i should pick. thanks again.
