College matches please! HELP!!! =]

I'm a rising Junior and kinda unsure of what school I want to go to. I really like Upenn and Cornell but I know they are wayyyyy reaches. Suggestions on colleges in the northeastern area please! So here are my stats:

GPA - 3.52
ACT (projected) - 33
PSAT - 2100

Intended major: Biochemistry

Accomplishments by graduation:

200+ volunteer hrs
National honor society
Science club
Key Club
Rosseta Society
Marching band lieutenant

8 honors classes
10 AP classes

Not to sound un-supportive, but what do you have to base your ACT score on? Anyways, have you considered UMich? Your ACT score (if right) is well within the range, however your GPA is very low for UMich.

We have something called the Plan test which is a practice ACT. But thanks for the suggestion. And my GPA is low because i had a horrible freshmen year. I had just moved and was pretty much mad at the world... so it was a 3.21 for the year.. but my sophmore year was 3.83...

Ohh! Ok. Well, like I said, check out UMich. They don't use your freshman year grades when they recalculate your grades. But they have a good bio-chem major (at least I know they're good in pre-med... so I'm kind of assuming from that. Sorry if I'm wrong.) I'd also suggest U of Chicago.

is the gpa weighted or unweighted?

Im pretty sure that if you explain your circumstances for freshman year, it wont be held against you, especially if you keep your grades up for junior year.

It's an unweighted GPA
