College never received AP scores?

Hi,

I am a freshman at Auburn University. I took the AP German and American Government exams this past school year. I got my AP reports in the mail a little later than everyone else did; I don't know if this was because there were delays on College Board's end or if it was just because I had the mail stopped while I was on vacation (long story, if you need me to explain further just let me know). All I know is that it seemed to take me forever to get my scores compared with my other high school classmates.

Now I am facing another dilemma apparently. Auburn still hasn't received my test scores even though I am 100% positive I put their information in when I selected my score reporting options for the AP test. This leaves me stuck, because there's this introductory course for my major (political science) that I REALLY don't want to take over again because it's the same course as AP Gov, and my AP score would qualify me to skip that class.

I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat. I finally found a phone number on the College Board's website for score reporting and I'm not thrilled that I would have to call them, because as I said I am 100% sure that I put Auburn down (and correctly) on that score report. I'm not sure how to go about emailing Auburn, because as of now it really looks like they haven't received my scores and I don't want to seem overly pushy or anxious. I think other freshmen might be in the same boat, so it may be that I'm making a big deal out of nothing.

What should I do? Should I just sit tight and wait? Your help is much appreciated!

It sounds like you do not know whether CB has sent the scores or whether Auburn has received them. Did you receive an AP score report? If so, check it because it is supposed to list to which colleges the scores were sent based on your designations for sending. If Auburn is not on there, you still have to order a send. If it is on your report, it is possible the scores have already been received by Auburn but Auburn has just not processed the test scores yet to show them in your file. You should just call to find out. Finally, if you are registering for classes right now and (a) you know your AP scores, and (b) you know that they will qualify for credit at Auburn based on its list of acceptable tests and scores, then you should just register for the more advanced classes if the system allows you to do that. Regardless of what has happened you will eventually get your credits even if you did not previously order the scores sent or you have to do a resend becuase they have been lost in transit.
