College of Charleston early action decision 2020

The weird thing is the acceptance letter was updated a few days later. I know because I reread it a couple of times the first day and looked for any mention of merit. When I checked it a few days later, the letter mentioned the $9000/year merit award.

Hmm. Interesting.

Thanks for the info!

Hi there, my daughter is applying with a 3.7 gpa taking highest rigor and honors classes throughout Sophomore, received a scholarship from a prestigious boarding school for Junior/Senior year and took a high rigor. All A’s and B±-however her pre-calc honors was a C+ bringing her GPA down a bit for that year. She had a B+ in Honors Chem and is enrolled in AP Stats, AP Macro, AP History and AP Environmental senior year. She has 5 years of language. She did this transition during the pandemic and neither of her schools gave “pandemic grade boosts”. She is applying ED- based on some things I am reading-should I be worried whether she will get in? This is her first choice and love it there.

Anyone like it there? My DD is afraid she won’t fit in.
