Hi Everyone!

I have not been able to find much about the College of Education at UMD. How does it compare to the other majors as far as admissions? My daughter has applied and UMD is her number one choice. The difficult part is that she is down in the lower 25% having a 1200 SAT and 3.5 GPA. Her essay was well writen, she took plenty of honors classes and also has lots of extra curricular activity. From what I have seen online with the numbers she still has hope but I’m not sure how much to believe. Are all of the majors equally competitive?

The College of Education is not a Limited Enrollment Program, so if your D gets into the University, she’ll be in the College of Education. Good Luck.

Hi, congrats on your educator. I don’t know how competitive education is to other majors but I’d be happy to ask my d any questions you may have about it. She is a freshman majoring in education.
