Thanks dogs. Yeah, probably most of us CGSers (including me) are late bloomers. I just thank god that I have a chance at a school like BU because of CGS.

well honestly jPoD.. the fact that youre so serious and intune w/ the application process shows that you are going to be a serious student. So in the end, the CGS stigma will mean absolutely nothing. Anyhow, good luck

Thanks KG. Appreciate it. Let's just hope I get in now! ED App. should be in next week :/

hi bullwinkle, I'm a freshman at CGS this year, and it's a great program! It's basically core curric. without fighting for spots. Sure there is a stigma, but it is basically because the only people who are able to take CGS classes are students at CGS. It is an easy transition from high school to college, although the work is really piled on us. If your daughter wants to go to CGS, she needs to be serious about it. There is a stigma that we're the "Commonwealth Grammar School", but it's tough work. Also, there are no TA's, which is a HUGE plus. Hope that helped some!! Congrats jPod, if you want any questions asked, go for it!

Hey, I have a question about CGS.

I'm applying to BU for the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) for political science. Assuming that I don't get accepted will they defer me to the CGS? Or how would I go about applying to that school in addition to CAS?

Look at the million threads about CGS over the past two weeks.

There has been an obscene amount of threads on this lately, but yes.

Yeah , so you go into CGS for 2007? I bet you might need some books for classes.
I am a current student at CGS, who go in for 2006 and have some of the books you'll need for class. I will sell them to you significantly cheaper than any other place you can buy them. Additionally I ll be here in campus to give them to you as soon as you need them, no waiting for shipments or waiting in line for the books.
If interested send me a message and add me to AIM, my screen name is davefogo

I have a question. I got admitted to CGS and am wondering if you have to pay the $34000 CGS tuition in addition to the BU tuition of $65000.
