Does no one have any idea when decisions are? My friends and I applied to 6, 14, and 18 schools respectively, and W&M as of today is the only one to not have set a decision date!
They said April 1st/“by early April” in what we have received and I think the portal too
If it means anything, the admitted student events begin on Monday, April 5th. This Saturday seems like a likely decision date!
Too bad you can’t register for these… just takes me to my portal.
Does everyone get taken to the portal when they attempt to register for the Admitted Student events?
It’s crazy! My son has heard from 8 out of 9 schools!
This is nuts, my son heard from everyone except W&M about 14.
Yes, just goes to portal.
Not all schools are out. The latest will likely be the Ivies - April 6th.
We are waiting on Rice (they come out tomorrow end of day) and W&M.
W&M doesn’t give OOS merit so we won’t end up there. It was a hope for the Monroe - my daughter loved the school.
Yes, we all know Ivy Day Just seems odd this school has been extremely vague in providing a date. We have this and UPenn that we are still waiting on.
They are not vague at all.
It’s just every impatient person out there can’t read or listen - sorry - but it’s true.
If you don’t know by Thursday, then you can call them out. Otherwise, they’ve been very clear.
The Office of Undergraduate Admission will email all freshmen Early Decision I notifications by early December, all Early Decision II notifications by early February and all Regular Decision notifications by April 1.
The W&M Instagram account, on their most recent post, replied to two people saying “ Regular Decision notifications will be sent by early April,” not “by April 1.”
Those of us who have been waiting 3+ months may be impatient, yes, but we are reading and listening to what W&M has written and/or said.
I think you’re getting your info from inaccurate places about Penn State. Many top students are there from our area, including some of the top ranked kids. This year they rejected multiple kids with near-perfect GPAs from our local HS (upper middle class HS that also sends some kids to T20s and Ivies every year).
Penn State and Harvard graduate the highest number of CEOs. You should check out the Penn State boards to see the stats of kids accepted there. Yes, like any large state school, there is partying too but if you are looking for certain opportunities, they are there for the taking.
Their engineering school is ranked high and their Business school requires strong GPA for entry. May be worth exploring further. Their alumni network is one of the strongest out there.
Decisions are on the portal.
wtff they’re out
I got in!
Just waitlisted. No hard feelings !
