Just thought people would be interested in the updated plans for upgrading the area around campus...

Thanks @maryversity for the update. It looks like a great addition for CP. Right now I am most concerned about the three pedestrians that have been killed along the Route 1 and Knox Road area. Three deaths in six months is totally unacceptable. It is a combination of the pedestrians coming out of the bars(probably intoxicated) and not using crosswalks and of drivers speeding and being intoxicated. According to this article it looks like they will be addressing this problem ASAP. I really hope they do something significant and quickly to help make this a safe pedestrian area.

@terpmom7, I echo your concern, but I am confident it will be resolved. I must say how happy I am with President Loh - we are lucky to have him! He truly is a hands-on guy and really cares about our kids…(.no wonder he was voted as one of the top 10 most popular college presidents…)

FYI, for anyone wanting more info, here are some articles with more details about the recent pedestrian issue

Loh is awesome! He has been all over this from the start. My daughter and her friends saw him out there in the wee hours of the morning checking out the situation first hand. I’m just glad that the changes are going to get done. This has been a serious problem for a while now.
