Hi everyone

I was wondering if anyone had any information about the Life Sciences camping trip coming up this August. I don’t really like camping so I am pretty nervous about it! Here are some of my more specific questions:

–Is it cabins or tents?
–How is the food? Are there any vegan/vegetarian options?
–Is it really mandatory?
–How much of the three Labor Day weekend days does it really take up? (I am worried about not having time for homework that weekend!)

Here’s what I know based on what my student told me:

  • cabins
  • loved the food. don't know about vegetarian options, but I thought I recalled that you could write if you needed something special.
  • it's mandatory
  • I don't recall how many nights it was, but I learned that the first week is 'syllabus' week and there wasn't much homework.

The report I got was that this was a wonderful experience and great for bonding the group.

(They also really enjoyed their Service Day as well.)
