I want to Major in Computer Science, and I am currently taking AP Calculus AB, but I forgot a lot of Algebra 2, and Some Trig, and I heard the college placement test will include Algebra 2 and Trig. If I don't do so well and get placed in a low math class, does that mean I cannot major in Computer Science? Should I buy Algebra 2, and Trigonometry books and review before the Placement test?

P.S I am not in college yet, I am applying this year.

Calc should involve a lot of algebra and trig, so I imagine doing well in calc prepares you for a math placement exam. By all means stay sharp on math, but if you don’t place directly into CS you can probably work your way in.

You can take CS classes without being a CS major, so you can start on those before you get your “CS major” card stamped.

I dont understand why you are bumping, Tom answered your question.

Yes, get better at math. Hardwork.
