College Planning Survey, Win an Amazon Gift Card

Our sister operation, Naviance, is trying to learn more about the college planning process. They have posted a survey (link below), and as a thank you will enter you in a drawing for a chance to win one of 25 Amazon gift cards ($10 value).

The survey should take between 5-10 minutes. The first part of the survey is demographic (to help get to know you better) and the second part is about how people like you go about the college planning process. Both students and parents can participate.

This survey is anonymous. We don't capture any respondent identifying information without your permission. Any information provided will be kept strictly confidential and will not be shared with any third parties. It is used strictly for the purpose of building better products to help college-bound students.

Thanks! Here's the survey.

Interesting, but I think the survey is flawed in that it did NOT address the issue of what birth order number of the child in the survey.

As a result, since this is my 3rd time through the process, my answers are going to be vastly different from my first time through the process.

I also found reference to “the school” and “the school faculty” confusing as I wasn’t sure if you were referring to the child’s high school or resources sought from the potential colleges.

I’m not sure if students can participate. I just tried to and was sent to a finish screen, saying I don’t qualify.

Maybe your age bumped you out scrivener.

If I’m 15 I obviously haven’t finished high school or any type of college…

I did not like being asked about my income, and the fact that one could not opt out of answering that question.

It skipped from like question 3 to 7 for some reason but I still was able to complete the survey.

I will provide some feedback to the survey folks on the income question. I tend to leave those blank too. Thanks to those who have participated!

I didn’t complete as your survey would not move forward without an answer for our income.

I was also immediately sent to the finish screen. (Age 20-24)

Like forthree above, I would not enter an income figure so couldn’t complete your survey.

I wasn’t asked an income figure…

I was asked my income and so did not give my name or email address. This is such an inappropriate question w/o an opt out.

Did anyone else notice the deplorable spelling in the introduction to the survey? It makes the survey look more like it is some kind of scam rather than something put out by Naviance…

The survey was very poorly written. I was very confused by their use of the words school and schools. I couldn’t tell if they were referring to the high school or college.
