Hi guys so I’m looking to apply in US colleges this year but I’m not sure what I should go for.

LORS: These have been written by my Sociology and Economics teachers. Both of them are aware about my speaking skills and my efforts for raising political awareness and they’ve highlighted these aspects the most in their writings.

Other: Low to middle income student looking for financial aid and for the last 2 years have had to deal with a severe injury. I would like to partly explore how this effected me in my essays.

I would be requiring aid and I’m very interested in Emory and would be looking to apply to similarly ranked colleges.
I have a pretty good idea of the difficulties of receiving financial aid and would just like to inquire what types of colleges I would be competitive for.
Thank You!

Tentative academic interests?

This is an older list, but nonetheless should offer you ideas for colleges to research in Emory’s selectivity range: https://www.businessinsider.com/the-610-smartest-colleges-in-america-2015-9. I’d expect you will find admission to U.S. colleges to be highly competitive, so the more extensive your research, the greater your chances of finding a suitable and affordable destination. Emphasize, in particular, those colleges that promise to meet the full demonstrated financial need of all accepted students, irrespective of origin. These colleges will tend to be highly ranked. Some lower ranked colleges may also meet your need based on their interest in you as an applicant.
