my dad makes over 100k and does not contribute anything to my education.i dont have an issue with that(im responsible for MY college expenditures). What really sucks though is that i need to put HIS financial info on my fafsa, and conseqeuntly i'm discouraged to apply for scholarships since most are need-based.And even the merit based ones require that students demonstrate financial need(ie. though the fafsa).Do you think if i apply for these merit need-based scholarships, and i explain my situation to them, i'll have a chance of getting these scholarships? Given i have stellar grades, ec's,recs, etc.I'm a rising college sophomore.
